Steering Committee

A ZES Steering Committee (Cabina di regia) is established within the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with responsibilities for guidance, coordination, oversight and monitoring. It is chaired by the political authority responsible for ZES matters and includes the Minister for European Affairs, Cohesion Policy and the NRRP; the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies; the Minister for Public Administration; the Minister for Civil Protection and Maritime Policies; the Minister for Institutional Reforms and Regulatory Simplification; the Minister of Economy and Finance; the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport; the Minister for Business and Made in Italy; the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; the Minister of Environment and Energy Security; the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry; the Minister of Tourism; the Minister of Culture; any other Ministers competent according to the agenda; as well as the Presidents of the ten regions forming the Single ZES, the President of the Union of Italian Provinces (UPI) and the President of the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI).

The technical preparation for the meetings of the Steering Committee is carried out by a Technical Secretariat, composed of designated representatives of the participating administrations, without any new or additional burdens on public finances, and coordinated by the ZES Mission Structure.
