The Single SEZ Takes Center Stage at the "German-Italian Economic Forum" in Berlin

The Single Special Economic Zone (SEZ) returned to the spotlight of the European debate on investment strategies and sustainable innovation. The 2025 German-Italian Economic Forum, titled “Investing to Shape the Future of Logistics and Deep & Climate Tech,” was held today at the Embassy of Italy in Berlin. The event was promoted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Germany, under the patronage of the Embassy and in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).

The Forum, opened by Ambassador Fabrizio Bucci, brought together experts and institutional representatives from Italy and Germany to discuss logistics, deep tech, and the green transition, with a focus on new European synergies for industrial development.

The Single SEZ was one of the key topics of discussion.

In particular, the many economic stakeholders in attendance were presented with the extraordinary opportunities offered by the Single SEZ, which make it an attractive area for global investors—especially in today’s climate of global uncertainty.

The “Single Authorization” mechanism received widespread praise for simplifying and accelerating the entire authorization process, significantly reducing the time required to launch new investments.

The message from Berlin is clear: the Single SEZ is being recognized as a best practice in cutting red tape, emerging as a highly attractive area for European investors committed to developing green solutions, advanced infrastructure, and frontier technologies. It represents a concrete opportunity to build a future where economic growth, innovation, and climate transition go hand in hand.
